Willow Fibromyalgia & Hypermobility Clinic PLLC

Medea Karr RN, MSN, FNP is a family nurse practitioner with a Master of Science degree in nursing and national certification in family practice. Medea is particularly committed to working with patients with fibromyalgia, hypermobility syndromes, chronic myofascial pain, and other chronic pain conditions. She is on the board of directors of the Washington Academy of Pain Management and is a member of the International Consortium of the Ehlers-Danlos Society. She will work with recommendations from rheumatologists, genetics specialists, pain specialists, and other specialists as needed to help patients achieve optimal comfort and productivity.

Laura Cain RN, MSN, FNP is a nationally certified family nurse practitioner. She is also finishing coursework toward her psychiatric nurse practitioner certification. Laura is an active member of the Washington Academy of Pain Management, and she has completed a variety of trainings through the Ehlers-Danlos Society's provider training program. She is excited to work with patients with fibromyalgia and hypermobility syndromes to help them lead more active lives.

Ashley is the Willow Clinic office manager. She works behind the scenes to ensure that everything runs smoothly, and she is known for keeping a pleasant attitude even when the clinic gets hectic. She is also the proud parent of 2 human kiddos and one very important doggo: Jolie the Clinic Greeter!

Tony began his massage career over 20 years ago when he received 150 hours of training in Swedish massage and Watsu at the School of Shiatsu and Massage in Middletown, California. He started a small massage practice with Medea Karr in Sacramento shortly afterward, and he worked with her part-time for 5 years seeing private clients and doing massage at various events, including festivals and rock climbing competitions. He decided to go back to school in 2015 with a focus on clinical massage, and graduated from Northwest Academy for The Healing Arts in March of 2016. He is currently a licensed massage therapist, with a focus on myofascial pain and trigger point work. If you see Tony through the practice for a medical condition we are able to bill your insurance if massage or manual therapy are covered benefits on your plan. He is also available for traditional Swedish relaxation massage. To schedule a session with Tony, please call the office at 206-734-4981. Referrals for clinical massage can be faxed to 888-734-4981. If you don’t already have a medical provider to do a referral, you can schedule an assessment with Laura or Medea to evaluate whether massage/manual therapy might be appropriate for your condition.

Jolie is our Clinic Greeter, and she occasionally performs other duties such as Clinic Courier, Clinic Support Dog, and Clinic Princess. Jolie was born with some orthopedic issues in her front legs, so she has chronic joint pain and can relate to what our patients are experiencing. She is also a very good dog.

Caroline has been practicing massage for over 20 years, and she has a particular interest in gentler techniques like myofascial work and Bowen technique. She is trained and experienced in the major traditional techniques as well. She works part time with us because she also has a busy private practice on Vashon Island.
